I'm sixty one years old, soon to be 62. I lived my life mostly as anyone else before I received Christ as Lord and savior, weeks before I was saved, I drove a over the road truck, was gone a lot, had much time to think how life was, and how empty I felt. I decided to come off the road and get a local job driving. In that respect I was doing much better, I had been over the road for many years, being gone takes it toll on a marriage. On April 3rd 1988, it was Easter, decided to get up and go to church. Hadn't been in years. Service was great, told the pastor I would be back. That night I stayed home, the wife and daughter went, they were saved that night, I was deeper with conviction. All that week, miserable. Wednesday evening I decided I had to go to church or die. The conviction was awful. Never in my life had I experienced such conviction. Went there, asked to speak to the pastor, he and his assistant pastor took me to his office, read the scripture, prayed with me, I prayed, ask Christ to save me, come into my heart and clean me up, he did, six months later he called me to preach, I served in the bus ministry for years, bringing children to Christ, taught Sunday school, later moved to Alabama where I am now, I serve him by preaching and singing in a southern Gospel quartet, preach every week on a local radio station. I love what I do, the Lord has blessed me with a good wife, beautiful children, great grandchildren, a wonderful ministry, preaching God's Holy word, singing the songs of Zion. I'm truly blessed.
