Interview and music of Christian Urban/Hip Hop Artist "Micah Jovan"
I love God because He first loved me. He took me as I was and molded me like clay. In spite of all I'd done, my life was still transformed. He forgave my every sin and circumstance. He called me as His own so I could be reborn. That's the reason I am a street disciple for Jesus. I make it my daily mission to bring His love and power to the Dallas, Texas area and anywhere else in the world He sends me.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
The most important thing to me now is sharing the message of God's grace with the world through the ministry of music and the preached word. Salvation belongs to everyone and music is just another wonderful gift He freely gave us to share with the world. I eat, sleep, and breathe music. It courses deep through my veins, but it still doesn't belong to me. I have personally used it to cope with the harsh realities of this day and age and now plan to use this universal language of worship to inspire strength, faith, hope, and love for Christ.
Before I began to sing out the gospel according to life and the good book, I was a young, shy New Orleans child internalizing the soulful sounds of the city. Little did I know that my testimony was being birthed from the very beginning. I have struggled with everything from addiction on the streets to terrorists in the deserts of Iraq, so I am no stranger to combat—physical or spiritual. My heart is for the lost, the broken, and the forgotten, churched and unchurched. Music is the way that God was able to meet a man with a message he didn't (yet) know he had. Jesus is the reason. Micah Jovan is the messenger. Holy Ground is the ministry. YOU are the reason.
Micah Jovan [MJ Muzic] can't wait to bring the love of Christ to a city and a sinner near you.
